How much support you choose to access is up to you, but we’re here when you need us. Whether you’ve made your decision about your career or still deciding, our Think Futures team is here to help. You can book an appointment to see a Careers Adviser, come along to our regular drop-in sessions and learn from topical workshops and employer events.
Mirfield College employs two Careers Advisers to support students with Careers Advice and Guidance and ensure they make informed decisions regarding their higher education or career choices.

All students are offered opportunities to master their interview technique in readiness for work, apprenticeships or higher education.


Apprenticeship Events
As Apprenticeships are becoming increasingly popular with both employers and employees, our students visit Universities offering Apprenticeship Fairs and have the opportunity to network with Apprenticeship providers in our annual Careers Conventions.
Higher Education Programme (HE+ Programme)
HE+ is a widening participation scheme run by Cambridge University. High ability students at Mirfield College are placed on the scheme and attend guest lectures and workshops delivered by specialists in subject areas run by Cambridge Professors to increase subject knowledge and skills. Students also attend live master classes on interview techniques, personal statement writing and university application support.
