BTEC Qualifications Explained
The new Level 3 BTEC Qualifications have been developed to be more rigorous and as such now include a considerable amount of external examination, controlled assessment and/or practical alongside coursework (See individual courses unit breakdown for these specific weightings).
As Level 3 Qualifications these BTEC’s are equivalent to A Level courses and as such attract comparable UCAS points for university applications*
