Welcome to Mirfield College, we were rated ‘Good’ in our OFSTED inspection in February 2020 and are in the Top 3 of College Providers in Kirklees. We are known for the excellent preparation we give our students in preparing them for higher education, careers and employability readiness. The results speak for themselves, we give out students a real head start so when they are competing for a university course, apprenticeship or employment, all of our students go onto the destination of their choice.

Our aim is to provide an exceptional, student -centred Post 16 experience across a broad range of over 37 A Levels and BTEC courses.

At Mirfield College you really are a name not a number. Our College size means that students are enrolled on the right programme of study aligned to their career aspirations and they have access to high quality specialist teaching in smaller than average class sizes with one-to-one support outside of the class. We have an extensive enrichment programme where all Year 12 students complete a basic first aid course, College trips, Sports fun days, Winter & Spring Balls plus so much more. These activities help to develop students further and promote happy, resilient, independent learners in readiness for their future.

We have a fantastic support system in Mirfield College:

- We have dedicated staff to provide bespoke support for students who want to apply to Oxbridge

- Our staff received additional mental health training to help support our students

- We are fully inclusive and our staff complete regular training to ensure their knowledge and support is kept up to date in regards to LGBTQ+
